Open Days | Exclusive Places Available
The Spill Training Academy are pleased to make available individual places for our BSIF Accredited Spill Response Training, 1st Responder and Train the Trainer Courses.
Our Open Days are specifically designed for companies or individuals who wish to attend our course but can't meet the minimum requirements for it to be delivered on site.
Each Open Day is held at our training facility centrally based in Leicestershire.
You can book either our First Responder Course which is a half-day module or the Train The Trainer Course that is a full day module.

The key learning objectives are to provide first responders to a spill with:
- The know-how, confidence and ability required to safely cope with a modest spill involving a known substance
- An awareness of the potential risks and threats associated with liquid spills
- Ideas and actions that could be adopted to prevent spillages
- An understanding of the safe and effective use of spill control resources
- Techniques to recover or limit the escape of spilt liquid into the environment

- Environmental Legislation including both individual and corporate responsibilities
- Fines and other related costs resulting from spillages
- Storage, Handling and Transportation of Liquids around site
- Sorbent Products, Formats, Types and Uses
- Key Elements of Emergency Spill Response
- Outdoor Spill Simulation Exercise
- Spill Analysis, Conclusions and Final Test
